The latest addition to my vitreous garden, this Kralik floriform vase resembles a Calla lily.
It measures 15 cm tall at the highest point, & 13 cm in length from leaf tip to end of stem.
Made from clear pale pink glass shading to milky opalescence at the top, while the stem & leaf feet are pale yellow - green, & contain uranium.
The lily itself has an intriguing texture - a mix of ribbing & small nodules.
I never cease to be amazed at the variations of these pieces...
I agree on the amazing variety, and this is a particularly pretty one.
Great piece!! I think it is important to keep in mind, that although almost all of these types of flowers are attributed to Kralik, there were other companies that made them, including Aarhus Glass in Denmark. They only produced them for a few years, and did so with Bohemian gaffers, but none the less their production is out there and likely gets classified as flowers by Kralik at this point.
There is some literature available that shows Aarhus production examples.
