TE Lawrence owned eight different Broughs. He wrote of racing across the rough roads in England on one of these machines.They were the fastest thing on two wheels.It would take another 30 years before good brakes would be installed on a motorcycle. I took this picture in Oley Pa

Lovely. I'll see if i can get my Father to scan the photo of Grandad on his Brough Superior ( when I was little i always thought it was called a gruff superior,lol).
From what i remember it didn't look quite the same as this one but more 'old fashioned'.
Didn't Lawence of Arabia die in a motorbike accident?
Oops i should have read all the posts, I've just seen Hems, about Lawrence crashing in Dorset. Was it on a Brough you know?
