This is a clear glass basket with white opalescent lines running through it. The lines appear cream due to the external amber casing which is thick at the base but fading to next to nothing at the rim. The rim is folded over and has a hobnail effect top and underneath. The hobnails are hollow. The thorn handle is in two parts joining in the middle. The snapped pontil scar has been ground out.

Gorgeous, gorgeous colors! I really love these baskets with the striped bases. I was eyeing a lovely pink and green one in a different form, and regret not getting it. I have never seen one in these soft colors before - I love it!
