This 7" rose pink ruffle-edged bubble glass (bullicante) bowl is in a lovely scallop shell design. By Murano's Fratelli Toso ca. 1950s-1960s

Ken, many little bowls like these were also used as ash trays by the "hoi polloi" smoking set of that 50s-60s generation, which unfortunately gave my late mom and her contemporaries COPD (look at Mrs Bush, tho she lived a full life), they weren't warned about the risks. This bowl however arrived as clean as in the pix, so think it was just used ornamentally

Oooh! I love this. This makes me think of the beach, the ocean, jelly fish, conch shells even. I love the undulating motion of the bowl.

Very "pretty in pink" murano shell bowl! May I pl.ask..how did you find out it's Fratelli Toso? I have a Murano bird, a pink Duck, will post soon, with a sticker just saying' Made in Italy Murano'. I wanted to find out the artist who made it! Thanking you in advance:)

Hi worthit2, appreciate the luv & kind comment. This pink shell was ID'd by seller as Fratelli Toso at purchase, then I cross referenced & found it in one of my many Murano ref books. It also helps to try an internet search describing your Murano piece, you might find it in the google images for example. The label is also very good for ID. I really hope Rose's Fratelli Toso link will be helpful too.
Looking forward to seeing a post of your lovely Murano, yours also Alan, I think all Murano glass is beautiful
