This Kralik vase is done in what would come to be know as the Acid Cut Back (ACB) technique. Loetz also used this technique as well as Steuben approx.20 years later. The ground is a dark amethyst covered by a highly iridescent blue silberiris type decor that is cut using stencils and acids. This one stands 6" tall.

    Unusual Kralik ACB pattern. I haven't seen an example like this one before. Very nice. I am guessing you didn't get much sun in Miami with all of the shopping that you did! Ha!
