Hello Fellow Collectors. Back to the "Oldies". This clock was produced by Gilbert Clock Co. in 1939. It's pretty unique in that the hands are on clear disks and the crystal has the image of Charlie with a small arm behind that rocks up and down, giving the effect of his mouth opening and closing. If you were proficiency in ventriloquism, you could make the clock talk back to you...LOL.

I haven't been here today & since yesterday was Sunday & my Tour day, I can't promise I was here then ! LOL! I remember when we got TV, so maybe I did hear Charlie McCarthy on radio. Have to look up when it was on radio.
I'm pretty sure before my time, but did see him on old movies and Ed Sullivan show
Did a bit of checking, and, I have seen more than 1 on TV . Guess I'm older than I feel . Well, maybe as old as I feel ! I'm going to stop there!! LOL!!
LOL, know that myself Lucas, Normally don't notice being an old fart, until I go to the store and a group of young women walk up and ask where something is in the store...like I'm the door greeter or something....

Kerry, you need to work on a more positive approach ! I go into a store & ask a young women if they remember what I came in there for ? Another good approach is, show a good looking woman your shopping list & ask if they can read something on your list .( I usually scribble something illegible on my list before going to the store). A salami in your pants helps tremendously , but be sure not to get caught at the ck - out counter.
LMAO Lucas, will have to try those suggestion....okay maybe not, but the thoughts will surely make me smile through out my shopping experience
