"In creating a design, I start with the circle of life. I like to make glass you can feel, glass that appeals to all of our senses and tries to make use of refraction and light. I want to paint pictures and tell stories all at the same time. What drives me, is a sort of inner search, in which curiosity, the mysterious and mythology are all important ingredients. Glass, the living solid, is my constant companion."
A trip to Vinnies paid off when I spied this vase on the top shelf .... a design I formerly knew as "Efterår" or Fall/Autumn.
But as you can read below KISSLIKEETHER has added this comment clarifying the name of the design: "The design is actually 'October' - 1982 and there is a 'May'- 1986 and 'November' - 1984 (Often confused with 'Nordic' - 1980) - Ref-Kosta Boda Book of Glass".
The marks underneath are invisible .... but I knew they would be there when I put some talcum powder on the surface.
It is 22.5cm tall x 12cm wide. The design was placed on a variety of shapes and was mirrored with a Spring design as well that it seems is not as frequently seen here in Oz.
The marks would date this one to 1982 I think ???
