    (439 items)

    1.7/8" wide, 1.3/8 long!
That's the biggest insect pin I have, and cheapest than some more little ;-))
Only marked 900, gilded silver, C clasp.

Can be seen as bought on my collective critters post here:

The moonstones had brown grime under that made them beeing described as agate!!!
I recognize it was moonstone and knew jeweller wouldn't use deffective stones for such quality piece...
Bingo! The grime went off with some windex and here it is, beautiful and glorious.

    Yepeeee!

This is from the same maker... What is very bad is that they are described as Murrle Bennett! As one was referenced as such by Tadema Gallery (!) others are too...
I would really want to know where is the original source of all of these, they surely make other models of this era pieces!
That's why for authentify patina is important to keep, because the stones used are apparently old stock ;-)
Thank you Jean for the link!
    22. Peasejean55 Peasejean55, 8 years ago
      Probably made in India.
    23. kyratango kyratango, 8 years ago
Or Thailand... Anyway, they use old quality stones!

I just saw this is an old post but it's still very pretty...geeze I never thought I'd say that about a bug or insect. I think I've come to appreciate them because of your posts and magic of fixing them!

Very well done Kyra - a splendid cleaning job, which has made the stones and design so beautiful.
    33. kyratango kyratango, 6 years ago
Awww! Thank you so much for supporting my passion, Share ;-)
Gillian! Thanks a lot! This one was so dirty... it only took 2 sprays of a kind of windex to remove all and reveal the moonstones glow :-)
