I started posting these old Eng. coins I bought from a Jamaican friend back in the 70's & think I missed this one. Don't remember if it was a "ha'f" crown or a crown. Still trying to figure out how to sell them without the seller getting more than I get ! Also wondering how many countries I've traveled thru with that roach & those Jamaican ganja seeds in the bottom of that bag ?

I threw in the King George 3rd to remind people how easily "taxation without representation" has been replaced with taxation with misrepresentation . Has anything changed ?

I'm glad that so many enjoyed this coin & appreciate the LUVS. Sean, out of that bag of coins, that was the only one with that crest & I love it to. Really neat! ClassicC, I find occupation currency interesting. Have any to share ?

Phil, you have proved to be a solid friend & I appreciate people like that. I'll give it to you for the current silver rate plus postage. You can send a check after you receive it & are satisfied with the deal.
I have sent these coins twice with friends to the UK with instructions to place them in auction. Both times the people started informing me that they were talking to coin dealers & told them to bring them back before they accepted less than the silver value. Uninformed people can be so stupid ! I will be in the States in May & can mail to you. You get it weighed & valued by silver content. OK?

Yes you are so right on most of your comments regarding what these coins are actually worth especially when taking the shipping fees out your left with very little. Best bet is wait until the silver price doubles trebles etc then sell as scrap. The pundits have been saying for at least the last five years that silver is so undervalued and should be on par with gold but that's bull. I think it's one of those where you will end up passing them down to kids or grand kids. Sorry I couldn't make you richer. Ho ho. Neil
ps. Looks like a lovely place to live

Neil, I'm on the short list after heart troubles & have no family I would give anything to, except maybe a bill for what they owe me. Can't bring myself to destroy such historical artifacts, so I guess they go to the SXM museum. They are going to have to open a "Lucas wing" soon.
