Hey you guys... It's been a while since I've posted here at CW. I've been dying to post, and I have plenty to share, but here's my dilemma. I no longer have the time to visit CW, go through everybody's posts and comment/love . As a result, I just can't, in good conscience, post something when I haven't gone through all of your posts first and commented/loved. Some of you guys have told me not to worry and just post, but I want to be able to support you guys as much as you've supported me, and I can no longer do that... I just can't keep up.
Having said that... Here's a large and colorful vase by Degue, France, Circa 1928. When I first saw it, I was immediately struck by the artist's use of bold, rich colors, which turned out to be even more vivid in person. Although I already knew the size (16"), I was still blown away when it arrived... it's huge!
The founder and owner of the company, Verrerie d'Art Degué in Paris (1926-1939), David Gueron signed his productions, “Degué“ - a reduction and blending of his first and last name.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Degue art glass, here's a site with a nice collection, some having a video attached:
If you're trying to access the site on your cell, it might not open unless you switch over to the desktop view.
As always, thanks for looking :-)
