Another long-term "keeper". I've looked after this vase now for some thirty years. It is one of my favorites and it has a story...

I used to go to the Flemington markets here in Sydney each Saturday morning. It is the main fruit and vegetable market of the city of Sydney. But once a week you would find the trash of the city picked up off the streets for sale at one edge of the site. This was the bottom end of the market. I liked to get there early...
I saw this vase sitting on the ground with a water sprinkler on top of it. The type of sprinkler with three arms that rotate when you turn on the water: a Pope. At first I though it was a lamp base and fitting sitting on top. I asked how much and was told by a man I regularly brought from "$20 but because you are my friend you can have it for $10".
I paid him.
When I got to the car I had a good look for any signature.
And there it was: Daum + Nancy France.
The orange casing is speckled with black dots and the acid etching is deep and sharp. The deco design of leaves (or are they spears?) winds around the vase. It's one of those vases you want to turn!

Later on I realized it was a French version of "a little orange vase".
It's 18 cm/just over 7 inches tall.
