A personal first was this Life Light found on a shelf at Vinnie’s yesterday in Sydney. My second piece of glass for 2020. For some reason I never see Life Lights here in Oz. Welzebub explained their significance on another post here on CW as a gift for a new born child. Lit each year on their birthday. I can see the symbolism of the clam shell and relate it to the journey of life.
The amount of work in each of these lights is amazing. I just enjoyed cleaning it of the muck in its base yesterday afternoon and began to see and understand the complexity of the moulds they used on these pieces.
